Credit Union of the Year 2012

We’ve been named Money magazine’s Credit Union of the Year 2012 and you could say that we’re a bit excited. So please forgive our occasional “Ooh yeah! Ooh yeah!”

According to the publication’s Consumer Finance Awards, we’ve been acknowledged for our outstanding member services, competitive products and strong performance in challenging market conditions - an assessment of which we feel very proud and somewhat humbled.

The annual awards examine and compare more than 200 financial institutions and 16,000 products, we were recognised for our community-minded approach as well as our home loan and savings accounts and services.

We’re a member owned organisation so, unlike the banks, we exist for the benefit of our members, returning value by reinvesting our profits into the credit union to provide better services and fairer interest rates. We call it banking that does good.

We are also committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work, and continue to assist local charities and organisations through fundraising activities, grants and community programs.

This is not a first time win either, as we were named Money Magazine’s Credit Union of the Year in 2008. The organisation was also recognised as Best Credit Union 2005.
